Gus Macker 2019: Green Eggs and Slams

In 1974, Scott McNeal and a few friends gathered in his parent’s driveway in Lowell, MI, threw in a couple dollars for the winning team, and kicked off the basketball tournament they had been planning. Little did they know that this driveway tournament would continue to grow year by year until there were hundreds of teams playing up and down their street. Reflections

CMU: 1/4

They say college is the best years of your life, and I 100% agree. I am just finishing up my freshman year at Central Michigan University. It is so hard to believe that a whole school year has already gone by so quickly, I am SO not ready to leave. The impact that the people I have met at Central have had on my life in the past 9 months is unlike any other friendships I have made before and I feel so blessed to be able to return here, my second home, at the end of summer. Moving out and living on my own has taught me so many valuable life lessons; here are the most important things I have learned in the last 32 weeks at CMU. Continue reading “CMU: 1/4”
